Supply of large fabric expansion joints for Biomass plant

BIKAR has recently completed the supply of an order different from the ones we usually publish. The supply consisted of a 5 meters long by more than 3 meters wide fabric expansion joint and its assembly with the metal structure.

Along with the expansion joint, four others were also manufactured with considerable measurements, with a length of around 4 meters. The order was carefully packaged to ensure that the products arrived in perfect condition.

Models supplied: U-type rectangular fabric compensator, model BF-TU and open band type rectangular fabric compensator, model BF-TBR. Application: Biomass plant.

The materials used for the construction of the compensators were the following: BIKATEX-402/2, Fiberglass fabric, Silica insulating blanket, Fiberglass insulating blanket.

At the special request of the client, they were manufactured to be able to withstand temperatures of up to 530 ºC. However, the fabric joints are capable of withstanding up to 1200ºC and a pressure of 0.35 bar.

The fabric joints can be manufactured in a circular or rectangular shape, and offer the advantage that they have no size limit, giving us the possibility of special designs like this one. At BIKAR we manufacture different types of fabric expansion joints that adapt to the needs of the client.
