Design and supply of Pressure Balance for an energy plant in the Middle East

At Bikar we are specialists in customized solutions. On this occasion we have designed, tested and manufactured a metal expansion joint type Pressure Balance. We have developed it for one of our customers in the Middle East, a combined cycle power plant. It is also one of the most important fertilizer producers in the world.

This type of expansion joint is designed with the aim of absorbing axial and lateral movements, while retaining the pressure force. It consists of: two in-line expansion joints, a compensating expansion joint and a bolting system, which controls and transmits the pressure thrust along the part.

This particular supply has been designed in collaboration with our client’s consultant, in order to guarantee compliance with the required specifications.
On this occasion the main constructive and design features have been:

Sleeves in AISI 321
Design Pressure: 3.5 bar
Design Temperature: 300 °C

Bikar Expansion Joints, a great team made up of the best professionals

Summer started yesterday and it seems that this new season will be accompanied by a relaxation of the health measures we have had to live with in recent months. This relaxation is due to the improvement in health data in our territory.

Today, we would like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to our entire team. And it is thanks, in large part, to their commitment and rigorousness in complying with prevention measures that we have reached this point without having to regret a single contagion among our employees.

Although more than 40 years of experience go a long way, perhaps these last few months have been the most difficult in Bikar’s history. And it fills us with pride to feel that we have come out of this difficult situation in a stronger position thanks to the great family that we are.

NEW SUPPLY OF CUSTOMIZED RUBBER EXPANSION JOINTS FOR IWPP in KSA

We have successfully manufactured in record time a repeated set of customized expansion joints for an Integrated water and power plant located in Saudi Arabia.

In this case, we have followed the same solution given to client 2 & 5 years ago after site visit proceed by our technical team. During that visit, Bikar team detected some problems faced by site team, in that way we will try to provide an Ad-Hoc solution in order to delete such issues.

The challenge of this supply has been the requested design and great movement to be support by the rubber EJs and the short period of time available to manufacture them due to the existing urgencies due to the imminent date of the plant shutdown.
