New supply of Rubber Expansion Joints for a pumping station in Qatar

In this case, it is an extension of a project for which another joint package was previously supplied.

From BIKAR JUNTAS Y COMPENSADORES S.L.a series of Expansion Joints have been designed and manufactured to be installed, both at the inlet and at the outlet of pumping equipment. These are our BF-PPS joints, one of our customized solutions according to the customer’s needs.

This time the characteristics of this type of joints have been the following:

• Design pressure: 8 bar
• Bellows material: EPDM
• Flanges: carbon steel + special coating
• DN 1200
• DN 1000

The expansion joints have been designed, as always, following the guidelines of the FSA (Fluid Sealing Association), the technical manual for non-metallic expansion joints.

SUPPLY METAL EXPANSION JOINTS FOR PETROCHEMICAL PLANT

This time, it is was new supply for a petrochemical plant in the Middle East.

The supply did not consist of a large number of expansion joints, but it did have high technical requirements from the customer, as is usual in this type of industry.

In the following lines we summarize the scope of supply. These are BM-UN-Ti type joints with the following characteristics:

DN: 600 and 900
Length: 1600 mm.
Design and Test Pressure: Up to 19bar & 28.5bar
Fluid: Butane and Propane
