Metal expansion joints for water project in Bahrain

There is no better way to start the year than to present important projects completed and on the way to their destination.

In this case it is a project in Bahrain for one of the most important Water and Energy clients in the country, consisting of metal expansion joints. Specifically, for this project Bikar was contracted to design, manufacture, test and ship four metal expansion joints with important technical and quality requirements.

These expansion joints have the following characteristics:
BM-UN-TI DN1000 (24 bar design pressure)
BM-UN-TI DN1200 (24 bar design pressure)

With this new supply, Bikar maintains its leadership position in the water transmission lines sector, where technical specifications and demands are increasingly higher. Custom engineering solutions are becoming more necessary and common, and that is where the Bikar team feels really comfortable.

In 2024, BIKAR will be present at IFAT and ACHEMA exhibitions

Both of them will be in Germany, IFAT 2024 in Munich and ACHEMA 2024 in Frankfurt.

On the one hand, IFAT is the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management. On the other hand, ACHEMA is one of the most important exhibitions worldwide regarding chemistry and industrial processes. Our team will be available during the events to provide as much support as possible to the visitors.

BIKAR will be present at IFAT in Munich from May 13th to 17th.

Ad-hoc design and manufacturing of expansion joints for a water project in Asia

This supply consists of rubber expansion joints custom designed and manufactured for one of the most important clients in Asia, in response to special technical requirements.

They are large rubber expansion joints with demanding technical requirements due to the pressures they must withstand, as a consequence of their specific application for the water sector.

This type of equipment has been designed following the FSA guidelines, and according to the technical parameters provided by the engineer, which are:

Fluid: Water
Design pressure: 10-15 bar
Design temperature: 50ºC
Size: DN150-1800

For this project, Bikar has been in charge of advising and accompanying the client from the offer, design, manufacturing, testing and transportation phases of the requested material.

Once again, Bikar strengthens its position as not only a manufacturer of expansion joints, but as a reliable partner for EPCs throughout the extensive decision and purchasing processes of this type of equipment in industrial projects.
