Supply of an important package of expansion joints and dismantling joints for a desalination plant in the United Arab Emirates. This is a tailor-made project for one of the most important European engineering companies in the sector. The supply consists of the following products:

Expansion joints:

Gasket types: Rubber.
Models: BF-PPS and B-Flex.
Number of waves: 1 and 3 (depending on the movements to be absorbed).
Accessories: All have a vacuum ring, straps and deflectors.
DNs: From 150 mm up to 2200 mm.
Units: 222 joints.

Dismantling joints:

Construction material: carbon steel.
Paint: FBE high quality – 250 mcr.
Braces: Stainless Steel.
DNs: From 1000 mm up to 1800 mm.
Units: 16 joints.

Rubber expansion joint package for an important pumping station in Egypt

Supply of expansion joints designed and manufactured for an important pumping station located in Egypt. In this case, due to the movements specified by the client, a type of joint with two waves was designed. This is a package of 8 joints in its entirety, being sent in two batches due to the customer’s field needs.

At Bikar Expansion Joints, we try to be as flexible as possible to satisfy the needs that our clients have in the plant, not only on a technical level but in terms of their contractual commitments with end clients.

In this case, these are DN1500 double wave joints designed at 10 bar and tested at 15 bar as required by the FSA.

As always in these cases, we have designed our custom solution BF-PPS under the parameters provided by the client and the BIKAR technical department. A tailored solution that combines resistance and flexibility in its construction and materials, being the best option for the line and adjacent equipment.
